Entrancing colour that satisfies with supreme hydration and opulent matte opacity. Flaunt your fixations orally in this luxurious, richly pigmented formulation that cloaks lips in a lightweight veil of rich colour. Like a good lover, this lipstick lays down a high impact with a strong finish.
This alluring description is for Pat McGrath’s new line called Lust MatteTrance – the newest collection, a line of nine densely pigmented, creamy matte lipsticks. This just might be the most glamorous of all her Lab kits. After Dark Star 006, this line premiering in July already looks iconic!
The achieve the perfect formula, developing itself took some time and the news of this launch had been kept top secret. But McGrath has been “covertly” debuting them at recent runway shows. So you may see them at Prada Resort Show or on her Insta account.
Three of the nine shades are named after some of McGrath’s model muses: Omi is a deep nude shade inspired by Naomi Campbell; Elson is a bright red that pays homage to Karen Elson; McMenamy is a reddish-brown named after Kristen McMenamy. But even though some are named after supermodels, they’re designed with everyone in mind. The shades span the rainbow, flattering light and dark skin tones alike.
Nothing Pat McGrath does is ordinary. So even the packaging is extraordinary. Each shade comes housed in a weighty black metal bullet, adorned by a pair of gold lips. It’s something your makeup bag screams for!
Lust: MatteTrance includes nine different matte-finish shades, which will each be sold separately (for $38 a pop) as well as grouped into kits of three ($95) and also a box set that includes every shade ($275). The latter is grouped by shade ranges: Skin Show (nudes), Color Blitz (brights), and Viscious Venoms (deeper tones).
As with all of McGrath’s makeup launches, the MatteTrance collection is limited-edition. So, you know, set a calendar alert now. The lip colors will launch first on PatMcGrathLabs.com at 12 p.m. ET on July 13, and then on Sephora.com (and in seven select Sephora brick-and-mortar stores) on July 28.
Perfect for the summer,
we can’t wait for #MatteTrance to inspire our makeup looks!
